The SonicLite HD Vest, by Saucony, is a great addition to your running wardrobe for the winter/spring running season when running in the daylight is not always possible. The vest is available in men’s and women’s sizes, we tested out the women’s model for this review. The SonicLite HD Vest features VIZI-PRO, which is Saucony’s new bright orange collection of running apparel that enhances the visibility of the wearer at night, as well as during the day. The vest has a reflective piece on every side, making it one of the most reflective garments we have ever worn: there are reflective side mesh panels, piping, triangles, and logos to enhance runner visibility. Besides increasing our safety, the vest has a nice fit and other features worth mentioning. We liked the chest media pocket, but typically used it to store our keys when out on the trail. There are two hand pockets that house the cinch straps for the waistband to keep out any draft. The dropped tail design in the back of the vest provides added rear coverage. We wore this vest with a long sleeve with temps in the upper 40’s and were thankful for the back vent, which can be opened up if you get too hot. The vest is versatile because it can be worn over a jacket on colder days or with a long or short sleeve top on milder days to increase your visibility to drivers and give you a little more piece of mind.
