The Saucony Women’s ViperLite Softshell jacket is new to Saucony’s Fall 2009 line. As many runners will tell you, when the temps start to cool, it becomes more challenging to select the right balance of layers to provide warmth, while also ensuring that one will not be overheating 5 minutes into their run. ViperLite fabric, by Saucony, helps solve this problem by incorporating three separate layers into the ViperLite softshell, which enhances breathability and temperature control. The ViperLite is also water resistant thanks to a DWR finish and has incredible visibility due to reflective panels on the back of the jacket and an LED light on the right sleeve. There are two hand pockets and a chest pocket that is perfect for an MP3 player or for a set of keys. Testers enjoyed the drop tail design and the true to size fit. This jacket was worn with a light base layer while running in 20-30 degree windy weather; testers reported that they stayed warm and that the ViperLite softshell is also pretty wind resistant/wind proof. I think I spend way to much time online reading blogs & articles. However, I come out learning at least one new thing every time I read one. This is no exception. I keep my brain over loaded with information I may or may not need. I have gotten more information after reading this blog. I look forward to coming back and reading more. I just added this blog to the thousands of other blogs I have in my bookmarks!
