Sporty wraparound glasses can be hard to find for many active women. All too often, the glasses are a scaled down version of a men’s frame and sold as a female specific model. Thankfully, Rudy Project has solved this problem with their new pair of shades, the Ability. The Ability glasses have a close fit and truly protect your eyes from the sun, wind, and debris. Fortunately, the Ability sunglasses weigh a mere 25 grams (they are an Italian company!) and feel light on your face. The nose pad is fully adjustable and accommodates a variety of nose shapes. The nose pad also provides a grippy surface that does not cause the glasses to slip during heavy perspiration. The Ability has 5 different lenses that can be interchanged; however, when we went to the Rudy Project website, we could not find a “how to” demo for our specific frames, as each quick change lens works slightly different in their models. We tested the Multilaser red lens that allows 18% light transmittance; we were amazed at the clarity of the RP D-centered optics and sometimes forgot that we were wearing lenses. We also liked that RP applies a scratch resistant coating to the outer lens to increase the longevity of the sunglasses. The Ability comes in 5 different colors with 5 lens choices; you are guaranteed to find a combination that meets your fashion and performance needs.
