Salomon XT Hawk Running Shoe Review

The Salomon XT Hawk is great option for someone looking to get a mix of road and trail while having the quality we have come to expect out of Salomon trail running shoes. The shoe is a pretty stripped down version as far as support, so it is best for those that have a neutral gate. With such a cushioned ride, we do not recommend it for runners looking for rocky terrain, but it is better suited for a fire road type surface. The shoe comes in at 9.11 ounces’ which is pretty light for a trail shoe. The shoe is extremely well ventilated which is great for when it’s wet, yet your feet get pretty dirty as it lets in a lot of fine dirt particles. We find this to be part of trail running, so it wasn’t a big deal for our testers. As with other models with Salomon, we think that they have done an excellent job at their lacing system. When we first tried them out years ago, we were skeptical is it looks like they won’t hold. We will be the first to say that your shoes will wear out long before the laces do. As recommendations go, the Salomon XT Hawk is best for those under 200 lbs and looking for a neutral ride. Where I by ?
Hi Luis,
This shoe is pretty old at this point and I’m not sure Salomon is still making the shoe. I found a couple sizes available through Amazon, you may want to look at ebay if you are gung ho on finding the shoes.
