Zach's been testing gear with Active Gear Review since day one of the site, and just generally loves being outside doing any outdoor activity. He and his wife race year round, prefer long distance endurance events, and have raced marathons in multiple states nationwide. Recently, Zach added triathlons to his list of endeavors, and has competed in all distances up to a half iron. He has two young boys who are full of energy and get into all sorts of trouble on a regular basis - just like him.

I couldn’t agree with this review more. I absolutely love my new lunarglide 3s. Plus boy is he right about the frees they pick up everything and don’t provide the stability that I prefer in a running shoe. Maybe it’s because I’ve been running way way longer then the barefoot craze has been around but I prefer a more traditional stable shoe.

My fiance does love her Frees though but she has had shin splint problems which I was lucky enough never to suffer from. So I can see why people do like the frees but they just feel odd to me.

So if you want a nice, lightweight, stable running shoe that won’t pick up pieces of mud and trash you really can’t beat this shoe. It might just be my favorite ever but I’ll give it a while longer before I make that judgement.

AGR tester Adam B. here and I have been putting these through the paces as well, on my shorter, easy runs, some tempo days, and one longer run of 15 miles. I have been really impressed with the Lunarglide’s ability to feel very cushy while soaking up miles of pavement on my longer runs, but felt more firm and responsive on faster tempo runs. I agree that these are an excellent all-around trainer and that the fit and mild pronation control should suit a wide range of runners. The traditional waffle-type outsole even tracked well on dirt roads and less technical trails. Overall, I’ve been really happy with the Lunarglide 3 and have it in heavy rotation among my favorite daily trainers. Give them a spin for sure!
