Cloudveil Spacewalk Jacket Review
The Cloudveil Spacewalk Jacket is a PrimaLoft insulated softshell that is an excellent performer whether you’re out for a day on the slopes, an afternoon snowshoe, or just staying warm while in town. The Spacewalk is part of the Cloudveil RZ series, which encompasses products that are not super technical, but handles the job for 95% of us athletes. With PrimaLoft insulation, this jacket offers very low bulk while offering warmth that performs excellent in cold weather conditions. For those heading into the powder, the Spacewalk comes with a built in powder skirt, helping prevent snow from getting up your jacket in case you are lucky enough to be cutting through knee deep powder. One crafty area of this jacket that impressed us was the super soft fabric on the inside of the cuff that not only keeps your arms and hands warm, but helps shed away moisture to help keep you dry. This fabric is also on the chin guard and back of the next. There were a few things this jacket can fix for next year, these include; placing a sticky rubber on the snow skirt so it doesn’t ride up and we prefer a cuff that can go over the glove versus having to cinch your glove over your cuff. Aside from these minor complaints, we have found the Cloudveil Spacewalk Jacket to be an excellent performer both on the slopes and off and highly recommend it to our friends, family, and readers.
