The Isis Nanda Devi Pant is softshell winter pant for hardcore athletes and weekend warrior women alike. Like many other products by Isis, the Nanda Devi Pant comes in size 4-14, rather than S, M, or L, which allows for a more personalized fit. In addition, the Nanda Devi Pant has internal velcro adjustments that really stay put when you are on the move. The Nanda Devi are made of Duet softshell fabric that provides a stretchy responsive fit that is water and wind resistant. Testers liked the added Kevlar scuff guard at inner ankles that prevent soft shell breakdown in the areas where you need it most. We tested the Nanda Devi Pant on early season ski days and trips out with the snowshoes in Colorado. Testers liked the soft polyester fleece lining that keeps you warm with or without base layers. Testers felt that the inseam, 31”, may be a bit short for taller women when worn with ski boots. However, while wearing the pants with ski boots, the internal gaiter worked great at gripping the boots to help keep snow and slush out. The 10” ankle zip is a nice addition if you like to unclip your boot buckles in between runs; which is nice for early season runs when your feet aren’t quite used to your stiff boots! The Nanda Devi pant also touts 3 fleece lined anterior pockets; we liked that the zippers were virtually seamless which maintained the clean line of the pants. Here at Active Gear Review, we are excited to use these pants in the coming winter months due to their extreme comfort and warmth.
