First Impressions of the Eagle Creek Pack-It Sport:

The Eagle Creek Pack-It Sport Collection
My first impression of the Eagle Creek Pack-It Sport Travel Bags set was that they are very colorful! These bags won’t get lost that’s one thing! I got my Pack-It Sport bags in the mail just in time for a trip to Florida. I’ve used Eagle Creek organizer bags in the past and they certainly have made it very easy to pack a lot of clothing and hygiene items into a small space. Because I mostly travel with just a carry-on bag, I was excited to try out the new line offered by Eagle Creek. These bags in particular are new and designed to meet the needs of athletes. On my trip I certainly planned on getting some workouts in and I knew these bags could double for travel and working out. The idea for the athlete is that our gym bags or even travel suitcases begin to really stink from storing our sweaty clothes or dirty shoes in them. These bags are made to address this issue. Each bag has a purpose and it’s all backed by the quality of Eagle Creek. Below are the list of three items I’ll be reviewing from the Pack-It Sport lineup:
Pack-It Sport Wallaby Toiletry Kit in Yellow – Retail $32
Pack-It Sport Garment Envelope in Red – Retail $22
Pack-It Sport Shoe Locker in Blue – Retail $20
My impression aside from the colors (which I liked because of the brightness) was that they are extremely light. The material resembles that which is used on tents. As I played with the zippers, I noticed how easy they open and close. For regular travelers, zippers can be a nightmare on bags and can be a reason to buy new bags altogether! Eagle Creek Pack-It Sport bags were designed to last and not get caught up in snags. There is nothing worse on packing day than wasting time trying to unstick a snag from a crappy zipper! So far, I was impressed, but I had to see how they performed to really see if they stood the test!
Performance of the Eagle Creek Pack-It Sport Bags:
The overall performance of each bag was good. I’ll talk about each one in more detail:
Pack-It Sport Wallaby Toiletry Kit in Yellow:
This is a hanging toiletry bag similar to others you have seen in the suitcase section of the store. However, the design is sleek and super light so you can cram more into them and then be able to store it easily in your suitcase or gym bag. This bags weighed in at a whopping 4 ounces and has a capacity of 305 cubic inches.

The pockets and places to store personal hygiene items seems ample. It features two large zipper sections that you can put anything into such as a long brush or electric razor.

The good part of this kit is that the fabric is stretchy so it has some give if you are an over-packer! On my week trip to Florida, I was able to put deodorant, electric razor, hair brush, toothpaste, electric toothbrush, contacts and solutions, and cologne. The zipper never gets caight either no matter how full the bag gets. Just find something to hang it on (even a tree branch while camping) and unzip and go!
Pack-It Sport Garment Envelope in Red:

Below shows the visual of how to fold a shirt and insert it. The process was a little weird at first because I wasn’t familiar with folding shirts this way but once I tried it once or twice I got the hang of it. One thing to keep in mind is to use the stiff folding board to get the shirt to the right size so it fits into the envelope.

The Pack-It Sport Garment Envelope is well thought out by Eagle Creek. When the shirt is folded, it is at a good size so when you open the bag when unpacking there aren’t a ton of folds all over the shirt in case you can’t iron your clothes. It’s a fairly slim bag as seen below.
Pack-It Sport Shoe Locker in Blue:

The Pack-It shoe box is really a great item to have in the sports collection. It has a ton of space for your shoes when you travel and keeps them separate from your other garments. The size if pretty deep for shoes as well. I really like that I could also use it for my t-shirts when I wasn’t traveling with more than one pair of shoes. You just want to make sure it’s clean before folding and packing your clean t-shirts into it. The shirts pack down very nicely. For me this is my go to for t-shirts and shoes.

Final Thoughts on Eagle Creek Pack-It Sport:
Overall I have been very happy with these three items in the Eagle Creek Pack-It collection. I use them a lot when traveling. They keep my dress shirts organized separate from my workout clothes and shoes. The garment bag is designed well with instructions on how to fold and fit the dress shirts in it. As well, the Wallaby bag is unique because it can be hung up on any towel bar or even a tree if camping. I really liked the lightness and colors of the bags. Not only am I organized when traveling but I can also find my bags easier. The Shoe Locker was my favorite mostly because it can be used for t-shirts and shoes. I run a lot on vacation and my trail shoes usually rub against my other clothes. This shoe locker is great and keeps the dirt away from the clean!
